New Investment Platform Successfully Tokenizing Commercial Real Estate

This week I’m showcasing a new CRE platform founded by my former colleague and friend Joshua Kagan. We worked together a CRE debt fund many years ago. Joshua has successfully created and launched a platform tokenizing commercial real estate called Bonfire. There’s been a lot of people talking about tokenizing real estate over the last several years but not many have done it. Bonfire has actually done it, in fact they’ve onboarded over 1,000 investors and already completed five transactions including:

• Multiple Apartment Buildings

• Shopping Center

• Distressed Hotel

Right now they’re deep into underwriting several distressed assets that need rescue capital.

Bonfire's team, investors, and an advisors are a 'who's who' of commercial real estate. For instance, Bonfire’s head of real estate, Brent Donaldson, created the first platform in the US for non-listed real estate securities (Liquidity Financial Group), grew it to almost $1B of AUM and sold it before the financial crisis. He has personally invested more than $2B into CRE during his career.

Bonfire allows HNW investors and Family Offices to invest in compelling CRE deals through a simple tokenization structure.
